02 · The problem
Your formulas convince your customers. Can AI read them?
Your INCI and actives are not comparable
AI compares formulations: active concentrations, allergens, texture. If your ingredients only live as free text at the bottom of a tab, your products drop out of the comparison before being evaluated at all.
Claims with no attached proof
"Dermatologically tested", "non-comedogenic", "92% natural origin": a cautious engine looks for proof and consistency across page, reviews and brand pages. An isolated, unverifiable claim gets discarded, and the product with it.
No answer to routine questions
Beauty questions are contextual: which moisturizer pairs with retinol, which SPF for oily, blemish-prone skin? Without structured conversational content, AI builds the routine with another brand's products.
Beauty is the textbook category for advice queries, and advice is moving to AI assistants. Every routine built without your products is a sale displaced to a better-documented brand, often less legitimate than yours.
Brands that structure INCI, proof and compatibilities are better placed to be understood and cited on their segment: sensitive skin, clean beauty, anti-aging. That spot is being claimed now, while most competitors are not paying attention.

04 · How it fits
How Verity Score fits into your setup
Your team
- Knows the product best: formulas, actives, routines
- Crafts pages for shoppers: photos, copy, guides
- The machine version of the page (attributes, markup, feeds) is not visible from the Shopify admin
- Applies the audit fixes, no redesign needed
Your agency
- Works on your visibility in Google results
- Produces content and links that also feed AI engines
- How answer engines read your pages (data, proof, files for AI agents) is a separate workstream
- Can use the Verity report to prioritize its work
Verity Score
- Measures what AI engines actually read: INCI, actives, skin types, proof
- Beauty-specific checklist: INCI, proof, reviews

06 · FAQ
Your questions, answered straight
Cosmetics regulation already frames our claims, what does your audit change?
The audit invents no claims: it checks that your existing claims are readable, proven and consistent across your surfaces. Precisely because beauty is regulated, AI engines favor brands whose proof is verifiable.
We have thousands of customer reviews, isn't that enough?
Plentiful but unmarked-up reviews are hard for a machine to use. The audit checks your reviews are structured (schema.org), tied to the right products and consistent with your claims. That is the difference between having proof and making it readable.
Independent brand against big groups, do I stand a chance?
Yes, that is precisely the opportunity. AI engines answer specific questions (reactive skin, a given ingredient, clean beauty) where a specialized, well-documented brand can be the best answer regardless of media budget.
Our content agency already produces a lot, does this replace them?
No, it directs them. The audit shows what AI engines cannot find or understand about you: your agency then knows exactly what to produce and how to structure it, instead of publishing blind.
Do you guarantee a spot in ChatGPT answers?
No. Nobody controls a generative engine's answer, and promising otherwise would be dishonest. The audit fixes what makes your products unreadable or unverifiable: a technical readability prerequisite, not a guarantee of citation.
The audit is free, what's the catch?
No catch: it is the free tier of the Verity Score Shopify app. Score, diagnosis and priorities are included. Paid tiers add assisted fixing and monitoring, if and when you need them.
